Learning scubadiving is now easier than ever The world of scubadiving has finally reached the internet age with PADI's elearning. This new program allows for anyone to learn the theory of diving at their leisure, from their home computer, before taking on the practical lessons. There are two ways to register: Either go directly to the PADI.com website, or inquire to a specific dive shop. Elearning can be used in many ways. For example, let's say you are planning a vacation to a sunny resort this winter. You can check out dive shops located at or near the hotel you plan on staying at and register for their elearning. Then, weeks later, when you get to the resort, you are ready for your practical lessons. Having the theory done with already saves you two days. That's like adding two extra days to your vacation! With elearning, you are followed by an instructor all along who will supervise you and answer all your questions. That instructor could be the same that you meet once at your resort. Elearning is very popular for those who do not have the time to go to classes or like to learn at their own pace from home.
